The next day, everyone was slowly gathering in the RR, and waiting for news on the Gundam Wing situation...
Lissa: Meg, what are you doing with that phone?
Meg: I plan on BEATING someone with it! *growls* For some strange reason, it seems every official Gundam Wing site on the net has the pilots on HOUSE ARREST!
Ashka: What?!
Lissa: ....House arrest?
Meg: ~.~ Yup. It seems they get in trouble...a lot.
Goten: We didn't need an extra anyways!
Pasha: And jealousy reared its ugly green head... *smirks at Goten* You're looking rather GREEN....I have to say-
Trunks: *clamps his hand over Pasha's mouth* That's enough outta you little Miss Hinote!
Pasha: *growls through Trunks' hand*
Roshi: *looks at Lissa longingly* Does that mean that we get to play?
Piccolo: NO!!!
Gero: But!
Meg: *points at Gero and Roshi* Another word, and you two will be watching Digimon tapes with Vejita!
Vejita: Don't drag ME into this! *thinks about the tv show* *shudders*
Videl: *blinks at Vejita* Ooookay....moving on...
And so, they decided to play anyways. They had three days to assign positions, and well, learn how to SKATE....
Meg: Ok, Piccolo, you’re gonna be a defenseman. Gokou, since your this little speed-demon, you’re gonna be goalie. Videl, you can be a defenseman too. No, it’s not sexist, so DON’T ARGUE WITH ME >.O
Lissa: We’re gonna stick with Gohan in center. I’ll play right wing and Meg plays left. We figure they’ll put Pasha in center, Ashka in left wing and Bulma in right. So Videl, you’re going to guard Bulma, and Piccolo, you’re gonna guard Ashka.
Gokou: So, what do I do?
Gohan: You attempt to stay standing on two skates and while you’re in there you block every shot that comes at you.
Gokou: SHOT!?!?! You never said we had to get NEEDLES!!! *trembles*
Gohan: No no tousan! *holds up a puck* When one of these come flying at you, you catch it. You don’t let it into the net.
Gokou: *stops trembling* ….Kay.
Piccolo: Why do I feel like his job is easier than mine…?
Meg: You just hit the puck with that hockey stick so it goes over to me, Liss, or Gohan.
Piccolo: ….Kay.
Lissa: Or we can make it easy and tell you to shoot to Meg all the time. But, eventually people will catch on. I’ll be in there pushing people, so don’t pay attention to me. *smiles innocently*
Meg: Lissa plans on covering for me and Gohan. She likes the idea of bashing an innocent victim into the boards. She’s savage like that *smirks*
Videl: so my job’s the same as Piccolo’s? Okay!
Ashka: *waltzes in, followed by the rest of the ducks* Do you guys have your positions all set? We figured it’d be more fun NOT to practice before the game. Even though the Ducks practiced all the time, we decided to change that part.
Pasha: Yeah, so can you two get us some jerseys? As soon as those are on we can go play.
Meg & Lissa: Kay. *snap their fingers, making two racks of fancy jerseys appear*
Everyone else: OoooOOoooooOOoo! *grab jerseys and put them on*
Meg: *shakes Ashka’s hand* Remember, don’t hold back!
Lissa: *shaking Pasha’s hand* Yeah, and may the best team win!
So, everybody lined up on the ice. Everyone except Ashka, Pasha, Gohan, Meg, Lissa, and Bulma were slipping. Meg was laughing at Piccolo, who was trying to stand defiantly without slipping. Gokou was clutching to the hockey net as if it were life itself. In the other net, Vejita was hovering above the ice.
Meg: Vejita! Stop cheating! Get your skates on the ice!
Vejita: *growls and slowly sets his skates on the ice. He immediately falls on his ass*
Everyone else: *cracks up*
Lissa: *wipes the tears from her eyes* Man that was funny. Ok well, shall we get started?
Gero: *comes out wearing a referee uniform and walks to the center of the ice rink*
Roshi: *follows, but then walks over to the scorekeeper’s booth*
Everyone: *skates to their positions*
Gero: *blows the whistle three times, nods to Gohan and Bulma (the centers) and drops the puck. He then high-tails it to the side of the rink*
Gohan: *pushes the puck through Bulma’s legs, then slams into her*
Bulma: Genh! *falls on her ass*
Lissa: GRAAAAARRR!!!! *skates at Trunks with all the speed she can get*
Trunks: *glances up and sees Lissa* AAAAHHHHHH!!!!! *tries running away*
Lissa: *slams him into the boards around the rink* Nah nah! >P *skates after Goten*
Meg: *is skating towards Vejita, passing the puck to Gohan and having him pass it back. Just passes it to him when she catches a glimpse of a green and yellow jersey- a duck jersey* Huh?!
Goten: HAH! * goes to tackle Meg, but is knocked out of the air by someone else* Oof! O.o;;
Lissa: *looks up from tackling Goten* Hurry! Get to that net!
Meg: Thanks Liss! *skates after Gohan*
Gohan: *skating alone with Bulma hot on his trail. Glances at Vejita and sees him staring at the puck* Hey Vejita! Look out behind you! It’s a POKEMON!
Vejita: *eyes widen and horror as he spins around to check. The spin knocks him off balance and he falls on his ass again*
Gohan: *shoots the puck at the net*
Puck: *flies into the net*
”The Other Guys”: Yeah! *cheer*
About 35 minutes later, the game was coming to a close. Things started picking up, they started getting more aggressive, and even Roshi got slammed into a wall when nobody was looking. Despite all accusations, Meg denies going near him. The score is now 10 to 9 in favor of “The Ducks”…
Gero: Penalty shot!
Ashka: What?!?!?! You call a penalty shot NOW?!
Gero: The ref is always right even when he’s wrong!
Meg: *shudders* He sounds like my gym teacher…
Pasha: *helps the shocked Videl up* Sorry ‘bout that ^^;
Videl: S’okay ^^ ….What’s a penalty shot?
Lissa: You get one shot on Vejita. Only you two.
Videl: Oh…oh jeez…. Can I let someone else take the shot?
Gokou: *hiding behind the net* I hates needles….. o.o
Ashka: Hey Meg, we never really decided on what happens when either team wins.
Meg: Well, how about if we win, we get that Mighty Ducks tape…
”The Other Guys”: WHAT?!?!?!?
Meg: …And if you win, we’ll admit that the Mighty Ducks are a real hockey team?
Pasha: That sounds good.
Lissa: So, to be fair, we should get two penalty shots. That way, if she misses both you win, and if it’s a tie we go into overtime. If she gets them both in, we win. Ok? Or is that too unfair…
Ashka: I don’t know about the rest of us, but I don’t mind.
Pasha: Yeah, go ahead. It’s just a game ^.^
Videl: Eh?!?
Gohan: It’s ok hon, even if you don’t get them in it doesn’t matter. As long as you try your best we’ll be proud of you!
Videl: But…
Piccolo: Oh stop whining and take the two shots!
Gokou: SHOTS?! *yelps and flies out of the ice rink*
Everyone else: O.o;; Uhh…
Meg: He probably went back to the RR, let’s just finish the game.
Bulma: Good luck Videl! =)
Videl: Thanks ^^; *takes a deep breath and skates out onto the ice. She watches Gero drop the puck in front of her and starts skating forward with it*
Ashka: *smirks and whispers something to Pasha*
Pasha: *snickers and nods*
Lissa: *looks at them suspiciously*
Ashka: *winks at Lissa*
Videl: *skates with the puck until she’s a few feet in front of the net. She winds up to take a slapshot….*
Pasha: HEY VEJITA! WATCH OUT BEHIND YOU!
Ashka: OHMYGAWD! TELETUBBIES! WATCH OUT VEJITA!!!
Vejita: *eyes widen and, forgetting about the trick earlier, looks behind him*
Videl: *hits the puck just as he turns around and watches in shock as it flies into the net* AAAHHH! I GOT IT IN!! I GOT IT IN!!!
Everyone except Vejita: *laugh and cheer for Videl*
Vejita: *growls* THAT’S IT! I’VE HAD ENOUGH!!!! *flies out of the rink*
Trunks: There goes our goalie…
Goten: …Why don’t we just call this one a draw?
Piccolo: Hmph. Fine by me.
Gohan: *hugs Videl* I’m so proud of you!
Videl: *smiles and hugs back*
Meg: *turns to Ashka and Pasha* That was a pretty dirty trick you played.
Lissa: Yeah. Or, it would be, except you did it to your own team.
Ashka: *shrugs* It was the least we could do. Videl deserved to get a goal!
Meg: So, what about the rewards?
Lissa: Nobody won.
Pasha: Both teams won!
Meg: In a way I guess. So we both give in? Ok. I solemnly agree to your idea that the Mighty Ducks are a real hockey team.
Ashka: Ok then. You can have the Mighty Ducks tape. I don’t really like them anymore anyway. I like Gundam Wing!
Pasha: *nods and hands the tape to Meg* Ever since you showed us those pictures we’ve been trying to get episodes!
Meg: *laughs, puts the tape in a bucket and sets it on fire* Ok well, next time I’ll introduce you to the Nintendo 64! You’ll LOVE the Zelda games…
Piccolo: Stop while you’re ahead.
Goten: *blinks at the burning tape* Yeah, next you’ll be talking about challenges on the N64.
